With the unserious humor we see from teens now on social media, it can be hard to take them seriously. Even though Gen Z can be categorized as "Immature", we should never disregard what they have to say and what they continue to fight for. Online, you have the opportunity to see multiple teenagers take a stand for their beliefs. Their courage to speak up for what is right is one of the sole reason I am firm believer that the teenagers of today will be powerful leaders tomorrow.
By the help of the Miss America Opportunity, we will see a rise in volunteers, public speakers, free thinkers, and hard workers. MAO has come out with their newest revamp of the organization, nicknamed "Miss America 3.0". This has required their Teen delegates to prepare an interview and onstage level 30sec "Elevator Pitch" based on their Community Service Initiative.
My CSI is called You Know Me, Not My Story. One way I've marketed it is through a podcast on YouTube, You Know Them, Not Their Story. I have had the chance to interview many talented and inspiring guests, including Miss North Carolina 2023, Taylor Loyd. This is known as an outlet for others seeking help.
I also pride myself in being a role model. Please reach out if you are struggling. I am always here to be a supportive and understanding person to talk to.
